Are there plans to integrate Pocket with Firefox for Android?

Reading List is nice, but now that it's been removed from the desktop version of FF it's not very useful. For now I'm using the Pocket app and the share menu, but the integration isn't as slick as if it were built in, and there doesn't seem to be a way to remove the Add to Reading LIst button from the menu (setting browser.readinglist.enabled to false doesn't work).

Any chance we'll ever see Pocket on Android? Or at least a way to disable the now useless Reading List button?

Hi

Thank you for your questions. I have had a chat to the development team for Firefox for Android and they have advised:

There are currently no plans to include Pocket in Firefox for Android in the same way that it is for Firefox on the desktop. You may wish to use the Pocket application available from Google Play.

With regards to the Reading List facility, this is expected to be changed in next few versions of Firefox for Android.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.

This is too bad, I'd expect it would be a priority for Firefox to provide a consistent experience across platforms. Anyway, if nothing else making browser.readinglist.enabled=false actually work as expected would be nice as a minimum fix. Thanks for your help.
