Hi all,

My Firefox has been updated to the latest version 44.0.2 automatically, but the google font Roboto in my website now can't be rendered. The whole webpage is showing the default font type in the firefox setting.

How could I fix this issue? As tried google around but none of the solution workable.

Thanks a lot.

Hi yaping ,

Two questions to help figure this out:

  1. Is the font a font that is installed on the computer font book or gallery? If so, please make sure that it is not corrupted.
  2. Check the setting for websites showing their own fonts here: Go to Preferences > Click on Content > under "Fonts and Colors" > click on the "Advanced" button and make sure to check the setting "Allow pages to choose "

What is the second setting. If neither of these change the way that the font displays, check the webpage styling, there might be something that changed how it loads with the new version of Firefox. (it really shouldn't and if it does try webcompat.com with a link to your site and the Firefox settings. )

Hi Guigs,

Thanks!

But I've tried both method, no luck.

The font (ttf files) are stored in same server, and using font-face method in my css. They are not corrupted as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are working fine.

My colleagues who is not yet update his firefox to latest version and open the page, everything is fine. After that, he updated the firefox to the latest version 44.0.2 then issue appeared. Tried on few machines and all the same.

I'm wondering is it the css font-face issue? Still figuring out but no luck :(

Any further clues on this issue?
