so I'm using the newest version of Firefox going to Google I used to be able to click on the search tools down and see a drop-down and a input area to type in my city and province

But now that's missing http://screencast.com/t/YEDNkafM

I had a friend of mine do it and send me his screenshot, I want to be able to change the search tools so my Firefox looks like this http://screencast.com/t/2u1vPMZrx5RL

how do you do that?

Hi

I have had a look into this and it does not appear to be an issue with Firefox, but is linked to your Google search settings.

Before that, I recommend that you update to the latest version of Firefox. More details as to how to do this can be found here. I have also noticed that your version of Flash is out of date. You can see more how to update it here.

When you do a search on Google, you should see a cog icon on the right hand side of the page. If you go into that, and select Search Settings, followed by location, you may find a location has already been preset. For me, that is clear. Going back to the search results, at the bottom of the page, you should see an option to set a location based on your internet address. If you allow this, it should also help.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.
