Phone: ZTE Open C / Australian edition (original) Firefox OS 1.3

I just discovered the other day that when I used headphones and unplug them, the ear piece doesn't work anymore and I can't hear anything until I restart the device. Is there anything on the software side of things I could try so I don't have to restart the phone all the time.

I just realised that Firefox OS can't have the latest Firefox version running, so a lot of features I am used to from desktop and Android are actually not available, like keeping my tabs after a restart, sync and so many more - but I guess that might be a complained for another forum entry.

Hi Albert,

I understand that the earpiece of your Firefox OS device gets muted after you connect, and then disconnect a headphone.

I have not experienced this issue with any of the Firefox OS devices I have used previously, but I will test this on the ZTE Open C v1.3 that I purchased from Ebay.

It is possible that this is an issue specific to the Australian build of the device, so it would be wise to contact ZTE's support as well.

In the meantime, you may check the Audio Settings in your device, to make sure the volumes configured correctly after you connect and disconnect a headphone.

Hey Ralph,

Thanks for your reply. I just wanted to post a quick update as this issue doesn't seem to be consistent. I had it one more time after this post, but not anymore. I have not changed any settings, though, which means I can't leave a solution for people running into the same problem at this point.

Hey Preston,

As mentioned above "I have not changed any settings, though, which means I can't leave a solution for people running into the same problem at this point."

I will come back and do so in case I find something.

Hello Albert,

I'm glad to hear that it's now working. In the event that it does stop working again, please let us know as we'd be more happy to troubleshoot for the root cause of the issue.

Thanks for choosing Mozilla, and Firefox OS!
