hello,

i know the firefox mobile browser for android and firefox for linux. today i activated my new firefox os phone. now i can't find the browser settings for cookies, offline-data, passwords etc.

in the setting section there are only two options: one for deleting the browser history, and one for deleting cookies and data. but where are the other important settings?

Hello Ralph,

thank you for your answer.

I am going to leave the following suggestions at the feedback page but want to mention them here as well:

I suggest adding the following browser settings in future Firefox OS versions:

  • Sync (bookmarks, history, open tabs, passwords(also with master password enabled!))
  • Adding other search providers like Duckduckgo
  • Cookie settings (e.g. excluding 3rd party cookies,...)
  • Remember passwords
  • Master password
  • Clear private data (clear now, always clear when quitting)

I think it is important that the "Firefox browser" on your own platform "Firefox OS" provides at least the same features as on Android.

But i have to confess, that i am very happy with my new Alcatel One Touch Fire E with Firefox OS 2.0. Thanks to the developers!

Hi zelyev,

Those are the only two options available under browser settings in Firefox OS v2.0. There are currently no options available for managing passwords or offline data.

You may suggest new features and feedback to our advocacy team through the feedback page:

Mozilla is integrating "browser" with the system itself in 2.x releases. So the concept of a "browser" is fading.

I am still getting used to the new system, but I think its the right step, and it looks beautiful.

I do, however, agree with your suggestions, those functions should be implemented in some way.
