I wish they would stop setting "browser.search.showOneOffButtons;false". It removes search engine choices from the search box. Annoying! Happens with ea. upg. now. I'm sure less savvy users are more aggrevated than me. This happens also in Linux distros. Thanks.

That's a new feature that was introduced in Firefox 34.

"browser.search.showOneOffButtons = false" turns off the OneOffButtons. The default value for that pref is true.
