Once website loads, enter user name and password but site won't process, bringing me back to the log in screen. After two or three attempts, directed to screen to change password. Changing password does not help. So far only two websites have been effected. Do not have problem with IE browser

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Try disabling all addons (under Help) and try again.

Maybe type the username/login into notepad (any text editor) and the copy/paste into IE and Firefox to ensure that in both cases the same info is used.

Thanks so much for your help. Your solution was right on; however, I could not find the Page Info>Permissions to check that on the Tools page. Clearing the cache and removing the cookies for the affected sites did the trick. Much better solution than removing all cookies.
