My college's website requires version 5,6, or 7 of firefox to run. I think it be bad to downgrade so I'm trying to find where I can download a portable version safely.

There is only a portable version for the Windows platform and not for Mac and Linux.

You will have to install the other version in a different program directory via a custom install.

Have you tried using the website with Firefox 30? A lot of websites say they require a certain version, but they really work with more modern ones.

Keep in mind to only use the old version as a last resort, and your computer is vulnerable to attack while using it. Welcome to Mozilla BTW!
