I'm using Windows XP and Firefox 7.0.1. Private Browsing is grayed out. Help says go to Tools menu but there is none available. How do I enter Private Browsing ?

  • Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
  • Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "Tools > Options" if the menu bar is hidden.

You may already be running Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
