I use Sync for my home and work computers. Given the different environments, I would like to have the bookmark toolbar display different links in each environment, while still having all bookmarks available from the bookmarks menu. Is this possible?

No and yes.

All desktop Firefox devices will have the same bookmarks on the Bookmarks Toolbar, but mobile Firefox will have their own separate Bookmarks Toolbar. "Mobile" = Firefox for iOS and Firefox for Android.
