Firefox ignoring and overwriting good previous.js and recovery.js files.

Hello there. After some serious data loss I had gotten into the habit of saving the contents of my sessionstore-backups folder to its own folder (on another drive) so that I had a somewhat large archive of previous.js and recovery.js files; Dated and cataloged. This preemptive measure turned out to have been a life saver as the latest versions of firefox (last six months or so) have the nasty habit of restoring the tabs on some windows as blank. Sometime not even restoring a window and its tabs at all though if it was a youtube tab it will start playing despite not existing in my task manager. I can "sometimes" bring the entire window back by using the switch to tab function if I know the name of the video or any tab on that window. That is a stupidly odd glitch.

But back to my main point. Recently firefox increased the frequency at which it would load up multiple windows with blank tabs but I just kept relying on my archive of good sessions then it went kaputs! Whenever I would delete the contents of the folder and copy and paste the good files it would restore the previous corrupted files and overwrite the good ones. I tried to load firefox after deleting everything in the folder and it would create a 17meg backup file and try and restore it. I turned off show-tabs-from-previous-session, closed firefox, opened it to the homepage and the backup reappeared in the in folder. I repeated this a few times and then it just stopped. I then changed the settings so that it would restore my previous tabs but alas it refused. It would constantly overwrite the files and restore the homepage. I could open a couple of extra tabs and it would restore those just fine so I then once again deleted the contents of the sessionstore-backups and copy and paste the previous.js and recovery.js/.bak from various months I had used successfully before and each time it would overwrite it with the couple of tabs from the session I keep freaking deleting from the folder. I then went the extreme and refreshed firefox, did nothing. The exact same problem persists. What the flip is going on?!

So, in summery:
1. Corrupted recovery files would load entire windows full of blank tabs or would load the window and it would not appear in either the task manager or task bar. I could sometimes (very rarely) make the window appear by using the switch to tabs function.
2. This could normally be solved by using one of my backups kept on another harddrive; Deleting the contents of the sessionstore-backups folder and replacing it with good files.
3. This suddenly stopped working as firefox would overwrite any files I put into the folder (even ones I had used many times which were backed-up themselves for this reason) and restore the corrupted ones. Even launching firefox with an empty sessionstore-backups folder would not help as it would restore the corrupted files back into the folder.
4. I eventually got firefox to stop restoring the bad files but it stilled refused to load from the good files and kept deleting them.
5. Using the firefox refresh feature did not solve the problem. I have several support.mozilla.org tabs open right now and if I were to close out of firefox then delete the contents of sessionstore-backups and replace it with one of my backups I had successfully loaded from in the past they would overwritten and the current 10 or so tabs would be restored instead.
Does anyone have the foggiest idea as to what is going on?!
P.S. I knew it was the corrupted files before they even loaded because they always had the exact same file size.
P.P.S. The reason I feel that it is firefox and not the files themselves is because I have some small ones from last year, before the problem even appeared, that could be copied and load up fine but eventually... not, on the latest version after a few open and closes of firefox. They too would load a window of blank tabs after a few open and closes.
P.P.P.S. The main addons I used before the refresh were no-script, adblock plus, http everywhere, silverlight, and disconnect. That is about it.
PHEW!!! That took a while to write and I hope it is not too hard to read. Let me know if I was not clear enough or you need anymore information.
THANKS!
No off to reinstall my addons, sigh.
