How to PROPERLY erase history? I mean, you erase HISTORY...click...there you go...?!?!?...but, what's happening? I erased HISTORY...ah, I erased it FROM the panel but, it WILL remained on the list that it shows on top of the icon (sic) ...someone suggested to go on the panel, select privacy, scroll to history, pass over "Never remember history...." (?) AND then you "click"... Clear...what is the point? clear means clear means clear from EVERYWHERE...sorry about the mess I wrote but I was frustrated

I use a personal firewall. Every unknown program that attempts to access the network triggers a popup message requesting permission.

Right after the installation, Firefox.exe initiated a message, stating the following path: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe". I granted access.

However, weeks after the installation, the updater.exe asked for permission, stating a very unusual path of itself. The path is "\device\harddiskvolume3\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Maintenance Service\update\updater.exe".

This seems unusual to me, since apps normally use 'C:\' to refer to harddiskdrive0. It is also suspect, since there are only two drives connected and the Disk Management tool (as an admin) indicates, that there are harddiskdrive0 and harddiskdrive1. There are no hard disk drives 2 or 3.

I also wondering about the fact, that the about firefox screen states, that firefox is up to date - even I did not granted access for the updater.exe in the past. There has never been a firwall rule to grant access for the updater.exe - how did it update in the past?

Does anybody have an idea what is happening?

When we log into our Yahoo email, there's a small triangle (see screen shot) next to the padlock on the address bar that says "connection not secure".

Not sure what to do to get rid of it.

My provider has deleted my email account without prior notification. I have no second email adress registered, and also no access to my old email adress.

I like using Firefox browser every day. After installing and running Avast antivirus protection (program version : 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.832)), Avast notification always show this message every time I start up Firefox : please check the uploaded images : FPA Scam.jpg.

I already checked the extenstion, the Settings, and the Advance Settings of Firefox browser. I'd like to know if there is any parameter related to engine.forexpeacearmy.com and it is enabled. Unfortunately, I can't found any related parameters.

So, I decide to contact Firefox support to find out what happen to my Firefox browser, why it always call the forexpeacearmy site at the start up, and finally I want to remove it. Because I'm affraid it could be some kind of trojans / malwares and put my laptop into risks.

I heard that the newest version of Firefox (which I have not upgraded to yet) has a feature that makes it easier to accidentally visit a website whose URL is on the clipboard. I googled to find out how to disable it, and the Featured Snippet said "go to about:config and change clipboard.autocopy to false." Sounded simple, so I did it, but subsequently found out that the article it quotes from is 10 years of age!

My first question, then, is: what does changing "clipboard.autocopy" to false do if it doesn't turn off the brand-new feature?

The second question is, how do I disable the new URL Paste Suggestion feature? Will setting "clipboard.autocopy" disable it? In particular, I want to make sure that the browser does not pre-load or pre-fetch the clipboard URL, and in fact, I wish to pop up a dialog box any time I do "paste and go." People often copy URLs from e-mails to research them before visiting them directly; jumping directly will increase the likelihood of visiting an imposter site.

Until yesterday everything was fine. I was able to complete recaptcha. But when I tried searching something today, I couldn't do it because of the recaptcha. It was stuck on infinite loading. Every website I visited the problem was there. I tried fixing it from the tips I found in the forum here but nothing seems to work. I was frustrated. Then I tried Brave browser and it was working. I want to delete firefox logins info and to make sure passwords and logins are never stored. I go to passwords, open up menu, and the "remove all passwords" choice is greyed out. How can I get that choice it be valid and to impliment that operation?? And to never have these stored??

I simply want to use a password to open Firefox. I don't want to set up Firefox sync. How can I set up a simple password as permission to open Firefox without accessing sync?

I would like to be able to make sure if a pop-up window is blocked, that I'm being notified about it, but there are no options in settings.

I read through the instructions listed on the help pages and found a message from support from 4 years ago about manually editing the settings, which wasn't helpful.

Are they just on by default now? Or did they get turned off and if so, how do I turn them back on?

(p.s. having something teach you how to do something, this case getting trouble shooting data manually, should open another window, not navigate me away from the page I'm sending this message from)

When I open Firefox and want to go to Private. I go to the three lines at the top right of the Firefox page. I go down to Private. Then after selecting it, YET ANOTHER REGULAR FIREFOX PAGE OPENS. I NEVER had this problem until the start of 2024.

Please help as I used to have FIREFOX PRIVATE as my go to browser. Now, I use others and they do not work with some pages.

Please help as it is frustrating to keep getting a new Regular page.

When logging into an account there are multiple usernames (incorrect or older.) I would like to remove or delete them, but keep the current passwords.

Is that possible without deleting the account?

I am autofilling an ELSA payment portal. Firefox autofills the payment information correctly. But the program will not recognize the autofilled information and doesn't let me process the payment. I then overwrite all my information and then it allows me to proceed with the payment. I have used the same procedure for years but as of this last week, the autofilled information is not recognized as I click the "Continue" button after the autofilled info is complete, and it won't work. The ELSA source (State of Wisconsin) person said it's a browser problem on my end. No. The online form autofills just fine. Can anyone help? Thanks. Jeff

The story is when I accidentally clicked on a sick video, YouTube start to recommend me similar sick videos.

So my question is how does YouTube get my identity?

I'm not logged in. my profile is actually a snapshot, so when I restart Firefox, it go back to the snapshot. I even restarted my ISP router to get a new IP address. This did not work.

Only when I create a new profile with "firefox -P" does YouTube start to see me as a new person.

So how does YouTube identify my Firefox profile? I don't think it's in the https request headers. Weird.

I'm new to firefox and would like to set cloudflare for DNS over HTTPS but there seems to be an issue. If I set it to NextDNS the connection stays active. But if I set it to cloudflare it goes inactive with the error (NS_ERROR_NET_TIMEOUT_EXTERNAL). I tried setting a custom DNS to OpenDNS and got the same error.

I'm running Manjaro Linux if that make a difference.

As I mention above that we have different ecommerce products which we only want to sell in Qatar but we are getting some other countries traffic like USA, Pakistan, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, so how we can block these countries or anything in Google Search Console which help to keep the website with country specific?

Is there any specific Mozilla Firefox extension that you recommend or any HTML code help to block other country traffic?

 One of my email accounts Yahoo or Gmail appears to have been hacked. I received two phishing emails this week --3 if you count the last one who said she was calling on behalf of Medicare/Social Security and All members could get a preloaded card for several hundred dollars. I knew there was a plan to help certain folks, but it was not available to everybody. I asked her for the name of the plan and she hung up. the webpage she sent me to first or told me to go there where I could talk to a licensed agent. Do people who answer the phone have a license like insurance salespeople? Anyway, they had copied the govt. the site is right up the US sea.

Okay, just an example so I decided to try that KeeopassXC program you were offering but I could never get it to complete.

but it did something as I can't use my password They cancel your account if you tell them the truth --better just to say I need help resetting my password. They then ask you to send them a picture ID as in Driver's License. Noway I am going to do this --so I have at least some pretty valuable info if I can't get in.

Ny first time writing here - if any response please direct suggestions to pke225x2gmail or I guess I will check here. Don't know how you put people with possible solutions to seeker of HELP.
