To move or delete apps, touch and hold the icon. After a moment, all icon will begin to pulse. Then you can drag an icon from the task bar and drag a new on there. When you are done, touch the home button. What I haven't figured out yet is how to move an icon from one page to the next.

Thanks. I know the way it's "supposed" to work, but it seems that, by design, I can't simply re-order the icons, or delete the ones I don't want.

It would also be wonderful to be able to remove unwanted apps from the phone, but it seems that some of the apps are mandatory, like HERE Maps.

That's right. Certain apps can't be deleted. I don't know why. But anything you add from the marketplace can be deleted and I did move apps around and changed my task bar.

Okay, I have to tap and HOLD the icon I want to move for longer than I was holding it. Now I have everything arranged the way I want.

FYI- I was able to move icons between screens just by holding and dragging, assuming there was space for the icon on the screen I was trying to move it to.

I wish there was a way to delete the mandatory apps without having to alter code and recompile the whole thing myself. I'm not a programmer. You should at least be able to hide the stuff you don't want to see.

I will provide this feedback to the product managers, thanks for your post and for using Firefox OS. Also, there is an 'infinite' number of app screens, so you could also just put the stuff you don't want to see at the very end on a new home screen for now to keep it more out of the way.

I'm still curious about moving icons to a new screen. I try to drag them to the right edge, but that doesn't bring me to the next screen. Is there a special trick?

Following are my observations about moving icons around, which hopefully answers how to move "icons from one screen to the next".

Just below the Notifications bar, there is a thin orange bar which represents the current desktop (is desktop the correct term?). The first desktop is reserved for Mozilla Marketplace. The second desktop is reserved for Home. The third desktop is the first apps desktop. Swiping left or right changes desktops, represented by the location of the orange bar.

Apps cannot be dragged left of the first apps desktop (third desktop). Dragging apps right moves them to the next apps desktop. If it does not exist (no apps there), it is automatically created. When the last app is moved from an app desktop, the desktop is automatically destroyed -- app desktops to the right are moved left.

Dragging apps right seems harder than dragging apps left. I cannot figure out the difference between a correct and incorrect drag, does anybody know the formal gesture? However, with considerable practice, I got better and was comfortable arranging my apps by desktop.

Dragging an app to/from the Favorite bar moves it -- the Favorite icon is not a shortcut.

Dragging an app to an app desktop without space pushes the last icon to the next app desktop.
