All websites that I try to reach have failed with the same message:

The owner of www.facebook.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox may only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.

Report errors like this to help Mozilla identify and block malicious sites

Prior to the upgrade, I had no problems. I am able to access these sites via my other browsers.

I have Windows Defender only for my virus protection. I made certain that Firefox was allowed on my Firewall. I deleted the browsing history and cookies to no avail.

I have tried solutions provided in similar complaints by others and I am not able to get anywhere. I will need more detailed help in resolving the problem. Thanks!

uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.2 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I have taken all steps and no change. One more item I wish to add (in case it's relevant) I use AT&T Wireless for my internet service. My other browsers work fine.

I was able to resolve my problem by going to Options. Under the General tab I scrolled to the bottom of the page and selected Network Proxy settings. I changed from "Use system proxy settings" to "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network." I tested all the pages I was having trouble with and everything is working fine now.

Thank you!
