How come I have to highlight Certain screens in order to see whats on it ?

When I reply to a E-mail, lots of times I have to Highlight the section where I am typing in order to see what I am typing. Do you know why this is ???? there is other things that make me to have to highlight , also.

I think you somehow got your default colors set to white-on-white. Could you check here:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Content

Click the Colors button and check the "Text" color and "Background" color to make sure they have enough contrast.

Note: Even when you do not override page colors, when pages do not specify a particular color, Firefox uses the ones set in this dialog.
