Firefox 3.0 Hanging
Hi Guys
I was using Firefox 3.0 from the past many years.Couple of months ago i installed facebook photo zoom add on,it worked fine.After some time i disabled it.Few days ago i enabled it but only facebook used to hang,other sites were not hanging.So i disabled it and deleted it but still the problem was there.I tried reinstalling and created new profiles but still the problem was there.Now i have installed Firefox 8,now no site is hanging but every site is taking a lot of time to open.
Another problem with this Firefox 8 is that,suppose a video a fully loaded on youtube and say after watching we move the cursor to the middle of the video to rewatch,then instead of playing it starts buffering from that point.
What could be the problem with 3.0?What should i do 2 make it work?
My friend suggested me version 3.6.24,it works fine facebook is not hanging BUT if someone sends me a message on facebook chat i don't get them,rather i get them in my message box,you can say i can't do live chat.2nd that youtube video problem is still there :(

upgrade your browser to Firefox 8 and try
The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
Try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 256 to 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
