Adding hotmail as default
I am trying to add hotmail as the default service in firefox. In the mail to dropdown, hotmail is not among the options offered. How do I add it so I can have it as the default?

Set the pref gecko.handlerService.allowRegisterFromDifferentHost to true on the about:config page.
Run this javascript code via copy and paste to the location bar and press the Enter key to run the code.
Do not forget to reset the pref gecko.handlerService.allowRegisterFromDifferentHost to false after you have added Hotmail.

I set the gecko handler to true, paste the javascript piece into the location bar, hit enter and nothing happens?
Did you check in "Tools > Options > Applications > mailto" if Hotmail now shows as a selection?
- Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
- Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "Tools > Options" if the menu bar is hidden.
Hello. I am using version 12.0 and have tried numerous times and ways to add hotmail to the email apps. I get as far as "bobbibben" above when I enter the javascript and nothing happens(no pop-up to add hotmail). Any help is appreciated. Dan
