Hello Everyone,


I have Firefox installed on my desktop and laptop but cannot download it onto my Galaxy A12 mobile.

When trying through Play Store it constantly informs me “Something went wrong, try again.”

When trying to download it from the internet, the Installation circle keeps revolving and nothing happens.


Do you have any advice please?

Hi Colin

If you open the Android Settings app, select Applications and find the Google Play Servcies and Google Play Store apps.

In both of these (do them one at a time), under "storage", clear the cache (not data!). When both are done, restart your device and try and download Firefox for Android from the Google Play app.

Hi Paul, Many thanks for your reply post with advice. I followed your instructions and in the storage of Play Services I cleared Cache to leave 17.92 KB. When returning to check, this went up to 50.18 KB. When clearing Play Store, there was 47.17 MB. After clearing there is now 1.00 MB Returning to Play Store and trying to Install Firefox I received the same notice that “Something went wrong, try again!

I have just entered my download order onto the Internet and chosen to try to download Fiefox through Mozilla and this time it downloaded and worked.

I would like to thank you for your help, because when I tried this previously it failed, after following your advice it was successful!

I previously clicked a thumbs-down and the Not Solved markers, and I would like it known that whilst I cannot alter them now, thanks to you, my problem is solved!
