I have been a FireFox convert for some time and must say out of a few items, I'm very pleased with this browser's performance. It's a very nice alternate to IE which is not supported by MS any longer. However, I do have a question about importing logins and passwords to FF from IE.

Because I have been using FF for some time, there are now some duplicates in the passwords IE has saved and what is in the FF password list. What will happen with the duplicate logins when I import all the entries in my IE login safe to my FF logins safe?

Just feel it's best to ask first, instead of trying to fix some kind of gawd-awful foul-up later.....:).....

As long as the same password is used for the same site, there should not be a problem.

You can always open the Password Manager and remove the dupes.

Type about:preferences#security<enter> in the address bar.

Under Logins, Turn on Remember Logins. To check the passwords you have listed, press Saved Logins.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
