Why issue Version 31 when quite simply it does not work as it should
Recently upgraded to Moz. 31. The upgrade went quite smoothly apart from the "restart Firefox to install!!"
However, when I eventually installed I found that Mozilla 31 does not support Norton Toolbar. Well guys, how long do you need to learn that there are alot of us who like and depend on Norton Idnetity Safe - despite its idiosyncroncies. It was the same with Ver 29 and then 30.
Please give us what we want and stop dictating that we change to suit that which is easiest for you. Whatever you do don't become like Google and Crome - trying to take over the world!
Regards
The answer was a troubleshooting guide I was aksed to install - C'mon guys it was your popup that told me that Norton Toolbar was incompatible with 31 and had been disabled!!!

hello, please update your norton software - norton always makes a compatible version of its toolbar available the day a new firefox update is released: http://community.norton.com/t5/Product-Update-Announcements/Firefox-31-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/ba-p/1155994

Thank you Philipp, just a suggestion then, why not in the compatability check on addons not in the addons page add - check with Norton for the required update?
Anyway - now a happy user - thanks
Unlike with most Extensions, the application provided Extensions that works with them like the Norton toolbar needs to be updated for each new major version Firefox .exe
The good news about Norton is they have had a update for their toolbar extension within a couple days of Firefox release at latest usually ever since Firefox 5.0. In the case of Firefox 31.0, Norton had a update ready the day before Release.

The comcast version of this solution is still not available and the safe does not work at all
The downside of using the Comcast supplied version of Norton as the updates can be slow to even skipping a Firefox version.
