I have an account in a mail service (say xyz.com). When I login to that mail service via Firefox (first-time), it shows the "Remember Password" prompt that asks me to decide whether I want to save the password or not. I tapped "Remember" button and whenever I visit that xyz.com, Firefox fills my username & password. It's cool.

But recently, I changed my xyz.com's password and Firefox does not show the "Update" prompt. I checked in its preference and it still hold my old password. So I simply removed that old password from Firefox's database & I again tried to login with my new password in xyz.com. I guessed that Firefox will again show "Remember Password" prompt. But it doesn't.

Is there any way to save my new password in Firefox database?

Please help me

hello Rajkanth, websites can specify if browsers should be able to save username/passwords (through the autocomplete="off" attribute in the login form in the html source code) and some sites choose to do this presumably to increase security.

you can either install an addon or use a bookmarklet to circumvent this behaviour.

Usernames and passwords are not saved
