Firefox will not retain all saved settings on BBC Website

The BBC Home page will not retain all settings. The local area page (weather and news) is fine, but each time I increment the number of news stories, both national and local to the maximum, it returns to the default when I restart Firefox. It worked fine on previous versions of FF. I have deleted the cookie and restarted FF, and this worked, but it has now returned to the default. FF=4.0.1

The BBC Home page will not retain all settings.
