Each time new ver. of FF integrates all data/settings and replaces the previous one, correct? Sometimes I would update ("just because") an excellent working version with all the working ad-ons etc., only to deeply regret it after. Strange behavior starts and/or things straight not work in a strangest manner. I wish each time my older FF could be back again! How can I KEEP ONE OR TWO (maybe one very old and doing it's job with some app I have) versions ready to go WITH MY SETTINGS WHEN THE LATEST UPDATE doesn't serve? And if yes, where it could be? (I assume a latest version of FF will not stand another FF -browser in Applications -folder?

To have multiple versions installed on Mac you would have to install them manually and make sure to create a separate profile for each of them.

See this article about how to install multiple versions on Mac OS X:

This is basically dragging the Firefox application out of the DMG file to the desktop and rename the folder. You can drag the renamed Firefox application folder to the Applications folder like you would normally install Firefox.

You need to use the terminal to create a new profile for that version. Make sure that no profile is selected as the default to make the Profile Manager show when you start Firefox. You can check that in the profiles.ini file.
