Every time I open a video and Firefox the stupid media control opens on my phone and plays the video or music or whatever I clicked on in the background for eternity unless I pause it, but then after a few minutes it just starts playing on its own again. Why is there no option to disable or close the stupid player?

I close Firefox I end the process but yet the stupid sound keeps coming out of my phone even with the screen off all the apps closed.

The only option I have is to hide the media control which then plays the music with absolutely no way for me to stop it. If I click on settings from that window it brings me to a screen where both options are already disabled saying not to use it but it's still opening anyways.

I can only find remedies for Windows or Mac I have not come across any solution for Android. I basically have to restart my phone every time this happens in order to get it to stop.

On android playstore, I am getting a message that a firefox update is available. But there is no description about the update. How to find out authenticity of an android app firefox update and its version and reason for the release.

Steps to reproduce : - go to YouTube - open a video - press the full screen button or tilt the phone sideways to trigger full screen - Firefox crashes and forces back to home screen - if opening Firefox again only half of the video component shows as in portrait mode, rest is black screen - if attempting to go side/full screen does properly show the video, but going back again to normal screen still shows the half black screen

I can reproduce this with a almost 100% rate, it only fixes itself by restarting Firefox, where it will work until phone is put to sleep mode.

I tried reinstalling Firefox from scratch, as well as deleting my browser cache and it didn't fix.

Firefox for Android consistently closes whenever I try to play a video in full screen mode.

The steps to replicate this bug are as follows: I go to a website that has a video (like YouTube), I start playing a video, and then I click on the full screen button. Firefox then closes out to the main menu of the home. When I try to reenter the app, the Firefox app becomes a black screen with a horribly offset tiny corner showing a portion of the webpage.

I cannot find any crash reports in the "about Firefox" subsection of the settings

I am using The latest version of Android 13 And my version of Firefox is 114.2.0 (Build #2015957435). I have tried clearing the app cache, and reinstalling the app. Neither fixes it.

Please let me know if I can provide anything further!

When trying to put a video in full screen regardless of the website, at least 50% of the time, Firefox immediately minimises, and the formatting when I open Firefox again is in large and screwed up. Don't ask me to update my phone I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro, and this has been the last three updates of Firefox that have caused the problem in the first place It never happened before that.

Why is there no tablet mode on Android yet? iOS has had tablet mode for years. Firefox for Android is superior (probably not as many installs) and it would be great to have this option.

I given feedback on firefox in google appstore and developer told me to further explanation what is happening. Firefox sometimes, becomes unresponsive for specific sites ... It starts loading them, but it get stuck in 1/4 of loading bar. It happens early morning most of the times which is unusual, right after I wake up. Site that it happens the most is 9gag.com. However, sometimes it happens to google search itself. What is funny when I use google search to access 9gag it fixes the problem, at least 33% of time, force stopping Firefox and cleaning cache helps additional 33% of time. Sometimes restart of phone is only thing that fixes the issue. My phone is xiaomy redminote5 with lineage 18.1 which is android 11. I use addons ublock and privacy bagger. These days, I was looking at my desktop computers, and I noticed how old I was. I am 65 years old, my computers are at least 5 years old, and I am a Linux user from the beginning. When the Xwindows system was so heavy for the cpus of those times, that there was no future for a Linux with Windows ... No way, to compete with Microsoft Windows!

But I am young spirited, so I am replacing now my desktop computers, both Linux and Windows with the "AndroidPC" box.

Why? Because nowadays we live with the Apps for every task. There are millions of them, for every possible use, and they are evolving daily. So I have to keep up to date, not easy! And it is also very practical, to use the "TV" also as "PC". And for us, the elder, when the eyesight starts failing, to have a big HDMI screen with big letters to work. I also use the same Apps. in my smartphone ansd tablet.

What is the Android PC? it is the certified (Google Play Store) AndroidTV box, you can get for 50 USD or less, quad core, 4Gb + 64GB. A bargain! I am waiting now that the octa core, 8Gb + 128Gb gets cheaper ....

There are a couple of native Apps for it. Most of the Apps are working, by sideloading them from Google.

Let see how it develops. Anyway, I am happy with the results! I am working on a daily basis with it. Almost all the internet browsers work, I had to take an older Brave version. The Google infrastructure and Google programms work fine. No time for now, to test the Microsoft infrastructure in the AndroidTV enviroment. I can move around my 10TB (5 x 2TB NTFS hdds) movie collection. FTP works. I still have problems, with the Xmeye cloud based software for the security cameras, it is not full screen. And it really uses almost no power, the box is not warm, no fan required!

Comparing with the beginning of Linux, with not enough cpu power. For this "dream", Google requires only to implement slight changes, to their multiple concurrent software platform development. I hope, it will merge alone, the "AndroidPC".

So I would be very thankfull to the programmers, if they could include a native Firefox Browser for the AndroidTV box!

Autofill often fails to fill forms and leaves suggested logins open breaking the back button (browser closes instead of going back a page). Hacker News ( https://news.ycombinator.com/login ) is one such form where only the password is filled in when using suggested logins and the ui element stays open breaking normal back-button usage. This issue has persisted since at least a few Firefox releases ago, I don't recall if this happened on Android 12, before I upgraded to 13. I use Android 13 on a Google Pixel 7 Pro, the only addon I use/have enabled is uBlock Origin.

I don't really have a question, just an issue & scenario to report, apologies if this is improper. I've been a happy desktop&mobile user since the pheonix days. I'll help where I can.

I am running Ff 114.0.2 on a Windows 11 workstation and Ff mobile on a Samsung Galaxy S20. Syncing is enabled on both devices, but passwords are not syncing, even after manually syncing. Autofill of usernames and passwords works on my workstation, but not on my mobile device, even though that feature is enabled. Sometimes (but not always), I am prompted on my mobile device to unlock Firefox, but after tapping the prompt, nothing happens.

Recently autofill has stoped working, i get suggested login, address, credit card and tap on it, yet it doesn't populate the fields, tried turning on and off sync and still doesn't work
