Hi, I am using Linux Zorin and have updated to a later OS but cannot reinstall my stored files because, "/home/garry/.mozilla/firefox/0czvkt76.default-release/lock". Which has confused me, I have used a Deja Dup backup which uses Duplicity files as per the Zorin programme. Duplicate files are stored in a WD ext hard drive. What can I do to recover my files pls? When watching videos on YouTube or Amazon Prime, Firefox will eventually stop recognizing keyboard and mouse input in all windows and tabs. This can happen after just a few minutes of video or after hours. It affects nearly all input: typing or clicking in webpages, the toolbar, the address bar, etc., though I can click the 'x' button to close tabs. When I close the final window, a dialogue will appear stating that Firefox is non-responsive and allowing me to kill the process. This seems unusual, because the OS's system monitor indicates there is plenty of unused and available RAM and CPU resources. Firefox behaves normally after restarting.

This stopped working some time ago and I am finally getting around to asking why.
I do have toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets set to true, and other items in userChrome.css are working.
I am using 121.0 at home and 115.0 ESR at work and see the same (i.e. no "Close Tab"), in both cases on Debian testing. I do see this menu item when using the keyboard to open the File menu.
Any idea why this no longer works?

I ran it in troubleshoot mode and it still crashed, so it's not caused by an extension or anything. It never used to do this before and I don't understand what's causing this issue.

hello everyone; i have a strange issue with my yubikey and firefox on redhat linux 8. (i can't upgrade to red hat 9 and it's technically oracle linux)
its works fine for the first x hours (where x is usually between 1 and 3 hours) and then firefox will invariably stop recognizing the yubikey touch. yubikey works with any other application in that journalctl shows that systemd is aware of it's existence when i plug/unplug it and i get a string in my terminal and text editors whenever i touch they key both before and after it stops working with firefox.
i've tried these things but the behavior is still the same: - regenerating my ~/.mozilla configuration directory - toggling all *webauth* keys in about:config - switching from yum to flatpak firefox installation - switching from gnome to kde to xfce - switching from Wayland to X11
there are no error messages; journalctl doesn't show any either; and chrome doesn't seem to have this problem, but i don't trust chrome and, interestingly, chrome exhibits the same behavior when using xfce.
the only thing that works reliability is rebooting each time it happens and, as you can imagine, that's 100% intrusive and i lose all momentum in my productivity.

After Ubuntu updated the GPU driver, Firefox stopped rendering and only works when disabling hardware acceleration. See screenshot attached. I'm using ubuntu/ RTX4090 and nvidia-driver-535 (propietary, tested). Attaching the apt upgrade logs that caused this to happen. Firefox is the only application that suffers from this.
Is there any fix happening soon for this?

I have some new issues after a recent update.
The tab bar fades when the window isn't focused. I certainly didn't have it set to do that before, and I have had no luck finding the setting for it. Tell me what the setting is?
Another I'd like to know the setting for, is the behavior of the address bar. It used to always be white, and now it's gray unless I'd entering something in it. I'd like to switch the setting back to the other way.
I've tried hunting for the settings for these things, but it has not been intuitive for me, and I guess I keep overlooking the pertinent settings somehow. Please tell me what parts of the settings page, or what about:config entries, will get things put back as I had them?
