Firefox 104.0 64-bit

I hid a photo on a webpage to see if its space would collapse and bring the text closer toger so I could make a screeenshot. I right-clicked on the photo and selected "Block Element". The photo disappeared, but the space it had occupied remained (outline of photo, filled with background color). I right clicked in the space, but there was no "Unblock Element" to select.

I looked online for an answer to this question, which seems not to have been addressed specifically. One of the results suggested using an add-on called Firebug; another suggested uBlock. I guess another question I might ask would be, why would it require an add-on to unblock an element that was blocked using Firefox?

It is not vital that I get the photo back, as I can contrive to never visit that particular webpage again, but my inquiring mind wants to know how to unblock an element I have blocked—particularly since it was so easy to block it in the first place.

Windows shortcuts stopped working after starting firefox

• Alt+Tab
• Windwows-key to open startmenu
• Windows+E to open Explorer...
• and so on...

Only one working involving the windows-key is Windows+L Control-Key-Shortcuts work fine...

1. Changed keyboard - No success 2. deleted keyboard-drivers forcing a reinstall - no success 3. checked windows keyboard-filters and game-mode - no success Even the On-screen-keyboard has the same problem

So i checked the shortcuts right after starting windows and they worked So i started the usual apps i use one by one and then in sequence

Shortcuts always stopped working after starting firefox

so i deinstalled it and reinstalled it... worked for 2 days... now we are back to "mouse-around-mode"

i can not figure out how firefox caches the keyboard shortcuts and why if it does stopps them from work

so is switching to opera the solution?

In my Firefox settings, I have PDF files set to "Open in Firefox".

When I click on a PDF file, Firefox DOES open the PDF in a new browser tab, but the PDF ALSO downloads to my desktop (both!). How can I stop it from downloading?

Whenever I open a video on youtube it is paused and if I unpause it it just pauses again. It seems identical to this issue: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1330078 except that the fix provided there doesn't seem to work for me.

I love Multi-Account containers and use the extension daily, but Ive noticed two bugs: I created a new container specifically for Mozilla. I loaded up support.mozilla.org and addons.mozilla.org in separate "No Container" tabs; go to the URL bar, left-click "Always open this site in ..." and assign to the new Mozilla container. Those two tabs open up on the proper container as expected. However:

Bug #1 On either site, if I right-click on a link and tell it open in a different container, it'll happy do so -- when it should prompt with the "Open up in assigned container" and "remember my decision".

Bug #2 This deals with results from about:addons. If I enter in search text for "Find more add-ons" the resulting tab opens up in no container.

I thought: eh, I'll close the browser, re-open, re-do the container assignments -- yeah I did that twice for fun. Still not working as expected.

I'm using FF, 104, with Monterey on a Mac Mini. When I tried to use Copy Short URL, I got a notice that it's use was "restricted by the browser" - see attached screenshot.

Why is this, and how can I remove the restriction? Thank you, Michael

There is a small bug in downloading tab,that's when downloading a file or anything,there is no tab showing where to save the files,only auto downloading the files to a specific folder .I already ticked the dialog box about "ask everytime where to download" .Please solve the issue as soon as possible.

I have a specific group of websites I want to see when I open Firefox. When you upgrade, they get wiped.

This did not used to happen. Only in the last month or so . . .

VERY ANNOYING!!

How do I prevent this from happening??

Hello, I am eyesight impaired. I am having trouble when trying to use the search bar on the home screen. When the search is typed in the home screen it automatically swaps to the ADDRESS BAR SEARCH. The text is so small I cannot see it very well as a result my typos are abundant, very frustrating. Using the home search bar rather than the address bar I can control the size of the text and use it with no problems. At some point this home search bar function changed, I have tried to use the address bar in place of the home search bar but as I said, it is too small to see. It also makes it almost impossible if you want to search a valid link instead of going to the link because the address bar interprets it as a link and just goes to it, also frustrating. I see a lot of talk about this issue but I don't see any final correction. Is there some way someone could put an effort into this issue for us diminished septuagenarian programmers from the days of old? Thanks in advance, Jim

I have 2 computers running Firefox, both running 104.0. This computer is windows 11 other windows 10.

Problem; Up until about a week ago I was able to click email links to open judicialwatch.org on this Win11 computer. Now, whenever I try to open that site (via link or direct entry) the tab closes immediately. From a link, I can see the tab open then close, from direct input it just closes when I hit enter. (The windows 10 computer has no problem.) I have searched for any settings that would show blocked web sites and cannot find any settings / listing of blocked web site. As the win11 is my primary computer, this is VERY annoying. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Scott

i"m using the above URL and I get access denied. I have cleaned buffers and it does no good

On several websites, little icon graphics don't display properly. In their place is a little square box with letters and/or numbers. For example, in Zoho Mail, all of the little icons that accompany the various page functions like Inbox, Trash, Delete, Calendar, Tasks, Bookmarks... they all appear as little square blocks of letter & numbers, like below:

I've lost the ability to use site-based hotkey shortcuts. For example, if I pull up Google Docs, if I type a statement and try to bolden the text with Ctrl + B, I get the Bookmark sidebar instead. Ctrl + I for italics? Instead I get page info. Ctrl + U to underline? Instead I get a wall of coding. This issue is a consistent thing on all websites, for a variety of hotkey commands.

I can't find where I can change, or turn off hotkeys in general, the last three hours of scouring the internet, including the FF forums, have been no help. I can't tell if this is a setting I can't find, I change with an update, but whatever it is, it needs to be reverted. I'd very much prefer not to switch browsers over an issue that should be a changeable setting.

Hi, some Unicode characters are displaying as boxes. This has been going on for a while. When I restart in troubleshoot mode, the problem goes away (see first image I've attached). And I do normally use several extensions that might cause problems here, e.g. NoScript (although I've checked that font blocking is off).

• But* when I restart in normal mode with all my extensions and plugins disabled, hardware acceleration off, and a default theme, the problem is still there (see second image). What else is troubleshoot mode disabling?

I have recently been denied access to CWTV programs because they say Firefox has an ad blocker. I have not checked the box to block pop up windows, and although I seem to get most ads, sometimes pages full of them, at times, mostly on emails, there are empty spaces where an ad is supposed to be and I don't know how to disable any ad blocker because the only reference the Firefox settings has regarding ad blocking is the block pop up windows option, which I have not chosen. CWTV thinks the shield in front of the address box means I have an ad blocker, and they told me how to disable that, but I know that is the Firefox traffic blocker icon. not an ad blocker. So what do I need to do so I don't have any ads blocked?

can not remove google search predictions (please view all images) I have exhausted all searches and read multiple forums on this matter, simply put; after the latest upgrade (104.0) 64bit you can not remove google search predictions on google search in the firefox web browser . when typing in the firefox google search page... start with the 1 (H) letter and below is a list of un-necessary predictions (see attached image) I have followed and tried many suggested instruction (see attachment) and still nothing changes. If there is no solution for this I will go back to chrome ugg... the ony work around is to use search in the title bar.

I can not access .tk or any other two-letter domain. All I get is a blank screen. (An example http://datepreq.tk ) Is it because I have a Mac? I can't access any two-letter domains with any other Apple device that I own.
