A few weeks ago Facebook started acting strange in Firefox. I can't post or share anything. Basically I'm limited to liking. It's like the buttons just don't work. I've tried clearing my cache and deleting my cookies but the problem still persists. Any help would be appreciated.

Earlier today, a friend of mine came to me complaining about no longer being able to access his web e-mail service that used Outlook 365. It worked on my laptop and my desktop, so it was a problem with his computer. I accessed his computer and attempted to use another browser. He originally was using Firefox and I went to use IE. It at first didn't work, but then I selected "Reset..." to reset literally every setting to default installation properties. I then tried to access Outlook 365 web e-mail and to my surprise it worked.

At this point, I knew it was browser issues, not a firewall issue or anything like that. After messing around with firefox's security settings, I tried disabling all extensions, to no avail. I then looked at the add-ons and saw something called "Web Security Keeper". It linked to a website that I will not post here for security reasons.

After doing some research, I see LITERALLY NOTHING on the web about this website or this add-on to firefox. I removed the add-on and suddenly everything worked flawlessly. If you look on the website, it is so poorly coded / vulnerable that it cannot possibly be a professional site. Furthermore, the "Download" button doesn't actually do anything as far as I could tell.

My friend had completely updated browsers/MBAM/Comodo Firewall/ESET NOD32 and isn't stupid. He also hasn't downloaded anything in 2 weeks and he has no idea where it came from. Does anyone have any information on this "add-on" ?

I want to make firefox use the Terminus font, but it doesn't appear in the drop-down box, trying making a .css file with content :

didn't work either, what can I do? I have the font installed.

Hello. I want to get off of the beta channel but have run into a snag. I went to uninstall FF prior to reinstalling, but there is only a FF 15 listed in my Control Panel and this will not initiate an uninstall. My browser shows that I am on v 17. I am wanting to opt out of the beta as flash is continually crashing. Then it will work for a couple of days, then an update hits and back to the same problems. I'm not sure if I should just do an install as I don't want to lose my settings etc. Thanks very much.

when I try to log into my online banking from RBS firfox goes into a no response mode. I then have to force a shut down of firefox. I then cannot reopen untill I have rebooted my pc. This has been happeming for the last few days, sometimes this would allow me to get back inot my bank but I have been frozen out about 5 timnes today.

I'm pretty certain that Google has also always been my default search engine when searching using the Address/Location bar, but it has been switched to Yahoo Search.

I attempted to follow the suggestion of opening the "Manage Search Engines" box and clicking on the "Restore Defaults" button, but that button is greyed-out and inactive. I then installed the SearchReset 0.2 Add-on, which was another recommended solution found in Firefox Help. This DID change my Home Page back to the defualt setting, and removed Yahoo as the search engine when using the Address Bar (although searching is now not possible at all there), but it didn't reset the Search Bar in any way, and Google and Wikipedia are still not listed as choices there. Also, Search Reset didn't uninstall itself, as it's still listed as an Add-on, even though the description on the SearchReset homepage says this will automatically occur.

I will also mention that at the same time the Search Bar difficulties began, the ForecastFox 2.2.2 add-on stopped working and disappeared from the Status Bar, but I was able to restore it by first disabling it, and then enabling it again. Also, before I was able to restore ForecastFox, Firefox would crash whenever I clicked on "Manage Search Engines", but this crashing has not happpened since ForecastFox was restored. Weird!

I am using Firefox 17. Since Yahoo new email launch, it is very slow in response in typing email. I have no problem open Yahoo mail using Chrome or IE9. Please advise!

Firefox crashes. I think Facebook is always running. I've tried in safe mode and with all plug-ins disabled but it keeps crashing randomly. Some days no crashes at all. Some days three crashes in one minute.

I have deleted and re-installed 17.01 three times now. The first time was to get into my bank site. The second because I still was having problems with downloading. My browser has been working well for about a couple of weeks. I was using the browser, closed it with tabs open (oh, and I haven't had a tab open alert, since upgrading to 17). Normally, when I reopen the browser, all the tabs are there and open. This time, the tabs were open but my add on tool bar on top was closed, even though it was checked to be open. I closed the browser, and reopened it, and not only was the add on tool bar gone, but now all the tabs were gone too. I uninstalled and re-installed 17.01, and nothing changed. I have come to hate 17 with a passion.

And, no, I haven't installed anything new, and I don't have tab mix (what ever that is) add on.

Flash Player is on the bad list for version 17.0 firefox. Therefor it can't be installed. I get missing plugin screen or simply nothing when I click on videos on websites. Is there another plugin that can take Flash Player's place?

Morning. Two days ago I reinstalled FF on on clean install of W7. After installing every (software, ext., personas, etc) when I start FF, the "add tab" is sometimes on the far right (which does not bother me), but when I clik on the plus sign, the new tab opens to "Delta Search".

Other times I start FF, and the plus sign is right nest to the tab. And when I click on that Google opens, as it should.

Right now, I'm writing/sending this in Safe Mode. All my software that I have installed, is the same software I have on my XP machine (minus a few things that would not work/or needed anymore).

Any thoughts?

Ran Avast Virus scan. Ran Spybot S7D Ran Malwarebytes Ran all MS tools Online scan ESET

The genealogy site https://familysearch.org/search is stuck in firefox, even in safe mode.

This applies to linux as well as to windows 7, 64bit, enterprise (FF20.0.1).

The page opens and the blue search bottom is stuck with "Loading". Normally it shows "Search"

The site is working well with IE9.

Since Firefox updated to 17.0.1, every day I have this problem. Often when I access a site like ebay or my bank, after entering my password, Firefox freezes. When I close Firefox and try to start it again, it does not start. Internet Explorer then will not start either. I need to reboot. I never had this problem before 17.0.1. I have a desktop running Windows XP and all up to date.

I have tried to use the suggestions listed but I am very dense and need a walk through. How do I permenently remove yahoo search from my list of search engines? I can remove it by manage search engines... but it comes back.

TODAY A "SEARCH HERE" TAB APPEARED ON MY HOME PAGE. I CANNOT FIND A "PROGRAM" TO UNINSTALL IT. I HAVE REBOOTED, RESTORED TO A PREVIOUS POINT AND IT IS STILL THERE. HOW DO I DELETE THIS TAB.

I opened Firefox today and my home page was wrong. That was just the start. It's like it was completely reset. None of my addons are showing up, my bookmarks are gone, my history, my saved passwords, and so on. I tried rebooting the computer and nothing changed. How do I get everything back?
