Lost Privacy/Security folder

Using OSX 12.7.5 on two laptops and a Mac Pro. Selling one of the laptops. Removed personal data for Firefox by 'trashing' the Firefox folder in Libaray/Application support. Then disscovered that the 'Privacy/Security' folder in both the laptop and Mac Pro were now empty. Nothing else affected. Went into TimeMachine and restored the entire Firefox folder from a recent backup. Privacy/Security folder not restored. Anyone have any ideas?

Just today, I can no longer access the Amazon website. The pages load halfway and then it just churns/spins and never completes loading the page. So far I've discovered no other websites that have the same problem.

I am able to access the Amazon website on three other browsers - Edge, Brave and DuckDuckGo - with no problems and normal loading speed. I don't use Chrome, so I can't speak to that.

I've tried clearing the cache and that did not help. I had a Firefox update installed a couple of days ago. Don't know how long it had been sitting there, as Firefox is almost always open and doesn't have the opportunity to update until I close everything and restart my computer, which I did a couple of days ago.

Windows 10 on a Dell pc/laptop. Firefox Version 126.0 (64-bit).

Any ideas on how to fix?

Looking for a fix on a right-click issue that I keep having...

When using Linux Mint (Cinnamon), the right-click context menu occasionally becomes misaligned with the cursor position. Attached image shows a right click on the text box in the right browser window triggering a popup in the left browser window.

This most frequently happens when:

  • Multiple windows are open AND
  • The window being right-clicked on is "snapped" into place (by dragging to the side of the screen)

Error seems to occur most frequently on windows snapped to the right-hand-side of the screen.

Context menu placement is offset by an arbitrary amount determined at time of window-snapping. E.g., moving the cursor down 1 inch in the example image below will move the menu down 1 inch as well. Un-snapping the window, and re-snapping can adjust menu-cursor-offset distance.

James here. I CAN NOT find the Firefox application file location. There is no option to show file path upon right click of the desktop icon and I can not locate it in File Explorer. I have done an entire (C:) drive search and turned up nothing. C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firefox does not exist in my file system. I am at a loss here and it's driving me bonkers!

Hi, I am trying to access a website, and I keep getting 'Secure Connection Failed', with the error codes: ' PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR', or 'SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG'. This only happens in 'Firefox', 'Microsoft Edge' and 'Google Chrome' load without any issues. I have the same problem on PC and Android. I have tried everything that I could from the information I received on the internet and here in the help forums, from disabling proxy, firewalls, on the browser and on my PC. I have added exceptions to HTTPS, disabled 'Enhanced Tracking Protection'. Nothing seems to work. If you could help me this would be greatly appreciated, as Mozilla Firefox is my trusted browser. Hi, it seems that my Firefox browser does not want to save a new payment method. I'm trying to access "Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Autofill" and then click on "Saved payment methods", which opens a dialog with the existing payment methods and options to remove/add/edit. I'm clicking on Add, filling-in the card details and then clicking Save, nothing happens....

I previously had a working saved payment method, but it stopped working (I think more than 6 months ago). I tried to re-enable the credit cards by setting the following configs on about:config page:

- extensions.formautofill.creditCards.available: true
- extensions.formautofill.creditCards.supportedCountries: '...,RO' -> (I was adding my country to the existing list)

After the browser restart with those new settings when I'm on a payment page, clicking on a credit card field will show the saved credit card but if I click on it, it will not fill the details. And also trying to save a new card, manually as described previously in this message, or by the automatically prompt to save a new card after a successful payment was done. Both methods failed on me but with no error (I cannot see the saved payment on the list).

I tried removing the existing saved card, it worked removing it, but the add is still not working.

I also tried restarting in save mode, launching Firefox in a separate profile and added my country on the creditCards config for supportedCountries to show the "Saved payment methods" button on new profile, and it did not change anything.

I'm thinking there is a missing permission somewhere on the disk but I don't know where is the payment data stored on disk.

I would really appreciate any help on this.

PS: Check the attached pic to see the payment add and clicking the save button does nothing (also there are no validation errors). And the other: FF version, OS, troubleshooting info.

I already tried this guide, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cant-download-or-save-files, but still same.

I haven't tried to re-install Firefox because I have a bunch of workbook marks that might get lost. So, I want the re-install option as a last resort.

Does not appear in screenshots. One of the images shows what the pdf looks like prior to scrolling, and one after.

I retired 14 years ago, as a Manager in a Manufacturing industry. Very familiar using desktop. For some reason, about a couple weeks ago, some of my sites have begun using google adds, over and over. When I click on the "X", wants to know why, etc. I use Malware Bytes, scans every day. Does NOT discover any malware, but I KNOW something has changed to allow the bombardment! Is it possible it's just a single site that I had to change and log in to? Even if so, WHY doesn't Malware stop them? Should I try a system restore to weeks ago? Seems a tad deceptive. UI settings for notifications has none allowed and new requests blocked.

Thanks in advance for any insight or suggestions. My preferred browser is Firefox. In Chrome, I can easily use a voice search from www.google.com. In Firefox, the permissions show my preferred mic as enabled and selected for that webpage -- but no sound is detected. (Using Firefox. mic works fine at https://www.onlinemictest.com.)

(BTW, speaker output is Realtek motherboard audio and mic input is a Shure X2U USB interface. This mic works just fine in zoom, whereby, audition, etc. as well as working google.com using chrome)

Have worked through various settings in the SOUND panel and SITE PERMISSIONS with no luck.

Any ideas about this problem -- or what other settings to trouble shoot?
