Why does every update have to cause a problem with my settings? I leave updates as long as I possibly can as they always cause a problem.

I'm not seeking to fix TOR here, I'm just saying that it's on there too and TOR uses Fire Fox - this message appears nowhere else on my PC or browsers. My system was just purchased brand new in Feb. This message did not display when I dl either browser. I've NEVER downloaded ANY Avast or anything like it, I use Windows Defender and that's it. I'm not a techie - but I'm like really neurotic over hard drive space - I don't download ANYTHING unless I absolutely HAVE to with the exception of browsers. I only download those from their official websites though. I do play some games, I've only downloaded games from Steam, Origin, and Utomik. I do have all of their clients on my PC. Other than that, there's been NOTHING I've dl. I only included that info because I thought it might help. Can someone PLEASE help with this. I tried to look at the registry, I'm not seeing anything that seems amiss but I need more specifics - I've read the other questions and answers on this - but I don't know HOW to change anything to see if it helps. I already am scared to death to touch the registry.

I have a couple of websites that keep popping up from time to time unexpectedly. There must be a way to simply add websites names e.g. www.ihatetheseguys.net to someplace on my Firefox browser, something like a BANNED LIST. And once added that website can never open on my browser again.
This seems like it should be a very simple to thing to do.... it would be like the exceptions list we can access in options where we add websites to a list and they are allowed to open, but this would be the opposite.
I have searched around and it seems there are some add-ons/apps/programs I can download and run on my computer, one called BLOCKSITE. But I dont want to download anything. This seems like it should be a very simple to thing to do on the option page. Simply add a BANNED LIST where we can type in websites and when they try to nope they get noped away to oblivion.

Yes, I have the 'old Firefox data' file but several methods suggested for getting my bookmarks back have not worked. I also did the procedure suggested to make an HTML file from the backup file, just in case I might need it, but I do not see the HTML file in 'documents'. Is it somewhere else? I could list some of the efforts I have made to get my bookmarks back but it would take several pages of typing. Right now I have about 15 windows open from links on help pages for multiple ways to fix bookmarks problems, but after working on this for several hours I am hopelessly confused.
For one example: I went to Library / hit 'bookmarks' / hit 'show all bookmarks' / hit 'import and backup' / hit 'restore' / hit 'OK' / get message: "unable to process backup file".
Should I throw the computer out, buy a new one and start over? It would certainly be simpler. But I absolutely DO need those bookmarks.

I had no problem with the links in vs. 66...so should I go back to an earlier version, and is that even a selectable item(?) and from some of the responses, that didn't even help.

I tried to find any solution to this but no results. I found a similar topic here with letter Q instead. I followed the steps but no luck as well. (Cannot type letter Q (weird bug!))
The issue is simple, typing q doesn't type anything. I can paste the Q from clipboard and works fine (this how I survived)
I have Spanish (Mexico) language and Latin American keyboard by default. Tried with the standard English (US) and US international keyboard with the same behavior .

I have never done anything to cause this to happen, although I may have done it accidentally?? how, I do not know. I have tried everything to remove it so that I fill in that information myself each time I want to sign in to my Scotiabank account. I tried ctrl + shift + delete and no combination of the selections worked. Help, I cannot for safety reasons have this information showing. I have spoken to the bank, I have spoken to Google and they recommended I contact Fire Fox. Can you help. I have tried this multiple times over the last few months, always using the latest version of Firefox (currently 67.0 64 Bit) and OS (Mac OS 10.14.5).
When bookmarking a page, I can't get the complete list of bookmark folders to dropdown in order to select any folder in which to bookmark page.

I just tried uploading a screenshot showing extension card have private windows "allowed", but upload doesn't complete (a related issue??).
How can I get my extensions working again?
