I am migrating to a new phone. WhatsApp offered firefox as an option for storing its passkey. That took me to the connection and synchronisation process which the new phone said had failed. However all my tabs and other passwords appear to be syncing. Now selecting firefox to store the WhatsApp passkey takes me back to the failure page every time. Any idea how to restart the passkey addition to firefox process? WhatsApp won't work whilst I'm hung up in limbo between the two apps.

Hello Why getting a black mask and purple screen. I did not set private and security is in lower case and cant access. I want the normal screen with history that I can delete myself. Not sure if this is new or update caused this to change.thxs joseph

I reset a computer, deleting all my files. I want to use, as I do elsewhere, Firefox as my browser. And though I signed into Firefox using my old credentials, none of my bookmarks are there. How do I complete this setup?

Hi, I'm having issues with my Google search results page. It used to be very clean looking and mainly only showing the results of whatever I searched. Today though, I searched something and now the Google results are first showing Reddit answers, what others have asked, discussions and forums, what others have searched, short videos, etc. I have to scroll really far down just to get some normal search results. How can I fix this? Call me old school but I want the classic version back. Please help, I don't want to switch browsers. I've been using Firefox nearly since it's launch, since StumbleUpon days. Starting yesterday firefox, no recent updates etc, gives a 403 error for several large corporate sites and 404 page not found for most paypal payment pages. These sites/pages work fine with Chrome. There were no changes by by myself to my firefox installation, not any antivirus changes.

Within the last hour today everything is working properly. What is going on? jn

Using Samsung S22 Ultra. Had probably 100+ tabs open, and as I was browsing a site, suddenly Firefox crashed, and on re-opening the app, all the tabs are gone, some dating back to months ago.

Unfortunately I wasn't aware of the tab saving add-ons until after the fact, but still, the fact that there's no "restore previous session" on mobile is extremely irritating, and history only goes so far. Why is this a thing? I can't believe this

When I went to start firefox today on my MS Windows computer, I got a file error message saying pathway was corrupted (or something like that) and then the firefox app disappeared from my pinned toolbar. When I went and reinstalled it, all of my saved bookmarks and passwords were gone. How do I get them back?

I am sure someone has asked the question before but couldn't find the answer. Why dark mode has to be different than other dark modes on other apps. Colours really does not match nicely with my phone. I used Samsung Fold and its really unpleasant.

I am unable to reach Facebook on both Firefox and Waterfox.

Other browsers (Opera, Edge, Chrome) are able to access Facebook.

I can access other Meta-owned sites (Messenger.com, Instagram, Threads) on Firefox and Waterfox.

This issue exists on both my desktop (Windows 10) and laptop (Windows 11).

This issue does not apply to Firefox for iOS or the Facebook app.

All apps and OS's mentioned are up to date.

This has been going on for over a week now.

I have a problem where if I install the packages needed to get hardware video decoding working in firefox it completely breaks YouTube playback. I can't find any info on the internet about the problem and I am having a lot of trouble with it. YouTube playback with libva-mesa-driver and libva-vdpau-driver will start stop restart start playing audio then crash with a this error every single time. I am at my wits end trying to figure out this problem and I would love help figuring out the problem I am using firefox-developer-edition as a note thanks Ozzy

I've been having problems with some websites not displaying content, others displaying error messages. So have been going through the Troubleshooting Mode and diagnostic process.

The cause is the MS CoPilot extension for Firefox.

Useful in other ways as I discovered several other extensions I don't need, hence have remained disabled.

Firefox is working in background and draining the battery. That what I see in battery usage information. I have tried to limit and stopped Firefox but it is still on the top of battery usage.

Others asked and were pointed to extensions. As long as extensions get access to my pages, I'm not willing to use any. So, is there an option in advanced settings, to return to previously viewed tab when I close a tab? Thanks, Cat
