Firefox is my preferred browser, and I have a very comprehensive list of bookmarks with folders and subfolders. Recently, whenever I add a bookmark through 'Manage Bookmarks' to access this list more easily than 'bookmark this page' > 'edit bookmark' & > 'Choose', it works the first time only; after that if I add another the second will not appear. If I close the 'manage bookmarks' window & reopen it & scroll to where I was before (a time consuming exercise), I can see that it did add the bookmark— for some reason it does not show when I do. This happens if the window is idle more than a few moments. Ideas how to fix?

I just noticed that I can no longer re-arrange tabs by using drag-n-drop or create bookmarks in my bookmarks bar using drag-n-drop. Is this a new "feature" in 127.0?

The bookmarks disappeard on the toolbar or in the library even though the sites that were previously bookmarked are still marked with the blue star. Comically it still shows my recent additions even though they are nowhere else to be found.

On mobile the bookmarks are still there but resynching, reinstalling, restarting didn't work.

When i want to bookmark the disappeared ones again, they won't be saved and are gone again the next time I start the browser.

It's really annoying, I had a lot of them and I don't want to use desktop shortcuts or use another browser but I might just have to.

Windows corrupted my user profile so I lost everything... how do I get my bookmarks from Firefox iOS to my desktop PC?

When I sign into my desktop Firefox it has nothing - I am worried if I sync my iOS firefox it will delete all my bookmarks?

I factory restarted my computer and reinstalled Firefox. When I signed into my Firefox account, all my bookmarks showed up but none of my tabs were loaded. I figured out how to load my tabs up from my previous session but all my bookmarks then deleted. I tried to re-sync but none of the tabs showed up. When I try to restore my bookmarks from the manage bookmarks library, it does not appear. I do not have a backup file for my bookmarks.

I had a crash on my SSD (WIn7 Ultimate) - " Operating system missing" error. I saved the data and want to reinstall Win 7 and import previous Bookmarks data to new install of Moziilla Firefox.

I transferred the sqlite file (s88qn337.default) from the previous install (now non working system) to the existing working Firefox directory (C:/Users/My Name/AppData/Roaming/Firefox/Profiles/xxx.default.

I then renamed "default.XXX.old" (the previous install had only one file in the Profile directory - ie s88qn337.default)

When I try to open Mozilla Firefox, with the single file (s88qn337.default) in the Profile directory, I get the error "Can't find user data".

When I then open fresh install of Mozilla Firefox on working SSD (Win 7 Ultimate) and try to Import Bookmarks, the options are only "Import Bookmarks from Explorer" or "Import from html file".

How to resolve this problem, please?

Why is Firefox backing up my bookmarks in a json file, when Firefox itself doesn't recognise the file type when trying to restore said bookmarks? I WAS able to restore my bookmarks by converting the json file at https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/bookbackreader.html. But why can't Firefox just back up as an html file like it used to? I had to go off searching the internet for a solution, turning what should've been a 5 minute job into nearly an hour 😕

As of a few days ago whenever I start Firefox the window appears with the Bookmarks sidebar panel already opened. I click the "X" on the sidebar and it will close - until the next time I start Firefox. If I choose Menu->View->Sidebar->Bookmarks and uncheck it the panel will close - until the next time I start Firefox. No matter how the Bookmarks sidebar is closed, it will always reappear when Firefox is restarted. Even if I switch to some other sidebar, Bookmarks will replace it on startup.

I've searched about:config and found no setting which seems to control sidebar behavior on startup.

I assume this is the result of some recent update. Is there no longer a way to permanently disable the Bookmarks sidebar?

Hello, I'm running FF 124.0.2 64 but in Win 10 on a PC. I have the bookmarks right across the top of the page; the sixth from the left at the moment is Seloger's website. If I have a tab open looking at a TV program website and right click on a link to see more details in a new tab, the new tab opens ok, but the TV program website is overwritten by the Seloger's website. If I use the "previous" arrows, it reverts to the TV program site. If I change the order of the bookmarks across the page, the TV program website will be overwritten by the bookmark then in the sixth from left position. This is driving me mad. How can I force FF to stay with the open tab and not change it by itself?

Hi, i formatted my pc and upgraded to windows 11 but before that i synced all my bookmarks of previous firefox to my account but after i downloaded firefox on windows 11 and signed in with my account the bookmarks doesn't import automatically but it is asking me to import from other browsers like chrome on which i have different bookmarks and i want my firefox bookmarks back why is it not seemless like google chrome.

Bought a new computer. All my toolbar bookmarks migrated across successfully. Sidebar symbol missing from the menu bar and I couldn't find where these Book Marks were at first. But then I right clicked on the menu bar, clicked on Manage Book Marks which opened a Library box and there they were. Does anyone know an easier way to access them please? Any tips gratefully received. Thanks, Bob

When I opened Firefox web browser it did an update today, and since then I cannot find my bookmarks, sign ins or passwords. I need help here and I am not very tech savvy at over 72 years old.

How do I get my bookmarks working? I have hundreds of them over the years and now cannot access any of them. I don't know what sync or .squigle is. Please help.

Why can't I put bookmarks into folders? I've followed all the instructions but nothing works. Bookmarks cannot be created or moved to folders.

There is no option to accept only back arrow. Bookmarks never move.

Tried option to create new with same result.

Seems no way organize bookmarks in android.

I did post this before, and Paul replied (thanks) but he didn't suggest a solution. When I add bookmarks to the Firefox Focus home screen, those icons are cut off, so the label is very difficult to read. If this is a bug then I reported it earlier to Bugzilla, but if it is not a bug then how can I fix it, please? Thank you.
