How to get Yandex "unpinned" from search/address bar (+ bonus rant)

After a recent update "Search in Yandex" showed up as a pinned suggestion in the address bar. This annoying POS shows only if a non yandex search engine set as default and removes an actual top site I use. Deleting "browser.newtabpage.pinned {"url":"https://yandex.com","label":"@яндекс","searchTopSite":true}]" does the job but doesn't restores replaced site.

To remove it correctly you have to turn on "top sites" in "home" section of settings, set new tab to "firefox home", open new tab unpin yandex from top sites and finally revert settings back to your liking.

P.S. I actually use yandex occasionally but I definitely don't need it showed down my throat (I can install YandexBrowser for that. It runs on blink so sites are showed as developers intended, use less ram, don't freeze randomly, opens faster (preloads on boot) and, check this, latest version runs on windows XP no problem). And if I want to f-about in settings of settings to change something as trivial as search suggestions I might as well use chromium. P.P.S. BTW with this update mozilla also managed to f-up search bar in a way I can't even comprehend. If I click on a site from suggestions and open a new fast enough url of a site I clicked on translates to a new tab but if I wait a bit and then open a new tab address bar is empty. (PScreen included)

Sorry for my bad runglish. Have a great day or whatever
