Suddenly my Thunderbird email will not send out any email I try to send. I have been in contact with my server Tech Support. They have checked everything at their end and all seems correct. I can go through their webmail to my account and that works. I have re-installed the program several times, including backup of the Profile, and deleting it from the C drive, then reinstalling it. I have made multiple changes to the SMTP outgoing server, trying various entries. I have even restored my computer to an earlier "Restore Point". That didn't work.
Nothing will allow me to "Send" an email. Other than that, the program works well. I can receive emails, no problem. I am using Windows 11, 64 bit on a Desktop computer. Any ideas what the solution might be for me? Thank you.

we are using Mozilla Thunderbird for many years. Since last two updates the button for sending out emails is missing. We tried to activate and to find it but we were not successful. Can you please check the current version for this mistake/error? All menu bars are activated but we also found out that the menu bar for writing emails are not visible any longer.

Some how I managed to get duplicate folders with many sub folders attached to 2 other accounts. The sub folders do not all contain the same information. Some are empty other contain information I am looking for. I want to print on the sub folder names along with the number of entries so that so that I can copy/consolidate the non empty sub folder back to their original location. The sub folder list is very long. I work better with hard copy as opposed to flipping screens. Any time I tried to print the sub folder list, it printed all of the contents.

Hello, I find Thunderbird is identifying my spam pretty well but all it does is mark the "junk status" column. The messages still sit in my inbox. There must be a way to have these messages automatically sent to a folder, or to delete them, or...? I tried setting up a filter, but there is no option to select the "junk status" tag.
How can I automatically do something with my junk/spam messages, something more than just tag them?

I recently installed Thunderbird (115.10.1) onto my Mac (Sonoma 14.4).
After lots of manual housekeeping and deleting/filing hundreds of emails that had appeared in my inbox (that had previously been moved into other mailboxes or deleted) I have got my inbox down to a manageable size.
But now four of the emails in my Gmail webmail inbox are not showing in my Thunderbird inbox.
I have run a repair on the folder (Thunderbird inbox) but the discrepancy remains.
How can I make sure they synchronise correctly?
Also: I have 4 old drafts in my Gmail webmail drafts which are not showing in my Thunderbird drafts folder. I created a new draft email in Thunderbird and it is not showing up in my Gmail webmail. I have tried to point Thunderbird to my Gmail drafts folder in account settings selecting: copies and folders/drafts and templates/other/drafts on [myemailaddress] but it does not seem to make any difference.
Any help much appreciated.

Do we have to delete all our TB email accounts and re-enter them into TB under the new Yahoo or can we just change the server settings on the existing Cox settings? Thunderbird ver 115.10.1 (64-bit) Windows 10 Home Ver 22H2 IMAP Mail Server outlook.office365.com Port 993 Connection Security SSL/TLS Authentication 0Auth2 Outgoing SMTP Server smtp.office365.com Port 587 Connection Security STARTTLS 0Auth2 Take Note All three machines can have identical settings listed above or various changes like Normal Password instead of 0Auth2 and/or an Outgoing server can be smtp-mail.outlook.com with normal password or 0Auth2... One computer must be cancelled will sending and when resent, it goes... no problem...immediately. If I don't cancel and wait, for it to send on the 1st attempt, it will eventually timeout on the outgoing server. Then I might have to reenter a password. Very annoying. I have been doing this for years. It is my workaround....

I could use the delete key, the button in Thunderbird or right click to bring up some functiosn such as delete selected messages. When I do this now the messages, which are normally unread, show as read but have not been deleted. I try again with the now read messages but they still will not delete. Its fustrating

When TB starts up, the only folders I can see are Recent. I can go to View/Folders and click ALL, and as soon as I move the mouse away from that menu item, it switches back to Recent. This started on version 115.09, but persists after I've "upgraded" to 115.10.1.
It has now (5/3/24 17:25 CDT) been 2-1/2 days since I submitted this problem, and no one has responded that it has even been noticed, much less solved. One of my two email accounts is a POP3, and the other is IMAP. The IMAP account Inbox doesn't even show up on the TB home screen. (If that info is of any help).
PLEASE ADVISE. My emails are an integral part of my business, and I cannot get to almost any them.
