Back on the 27th of July my Malwarebytes Pro real time scans found what it thought was a Trojan so I quarantined it but after I did a reboot my PC and browsers were slow and buggy but luckily there was a .Net update for Windows the next day so I think that probably repaired that file but what about Firefox is it possible that it was damaged since the daisymreader.dll handles browsers if remember correctly.

It is a false positive by Malwarebytes. According to the following post, that file is "...Visual Studio debugger file for .NET that unless you're a programmer...you will [n]ever use directly..."

I'm not familiar with daisymread.dll. Can you figure out where it was located before it was quarantined? That might assist in determining whether it is related to one of your add-ons.

Sorry the exact file path is C>Windows>Microsoft.Net>Framework>v2.0.50727>daisymreader.dll Although the strange thing is that daisymreader still shows up under that location even though MBAM quarantined it.

I wonder whether Microsoft has a checker for .Net? That would be easier than trying to find a specific web pages that invoked that particular file to know whether there is an issue in Firefox (or in IE).

Good question maybe I should give them a call. But anyway I did call them earlier and they said that the daisymreader.dll is supposed to handle browsers on Windows so that's why I was asking if it could damage Firefox.

Thanks so I nothing to worry about then awesome but why did my PC act buggy and slow after MBAM removed the file? Note: that it slowly got better after I got an .Net update. I think you just made my week.

Probably unrelated to that file based on the information in that Malwarebytes post.

You might want to scan your system with some other virus scanners since each may detect different malware:

I think there might be a problem with the website because I chose a solution twice and each time it either changes to another solution or changes no solution.

Thanks for reporting that. I have reported it to the team that oversees the forum for investigation.

Currently, my first reply to you concerning a false positive by Malwarebytes is selected as the Solution. Is that what you intended to mark as the Solution?

Yes it is that's correct. And I hope to hear what was happening to my post soon because that's just weird you know.
