suppose a downloading has started but in the middle due to network problems net is disconnected then again on connecting why the downloading is not started from the same place where it had stopped? I mean why it is not paused automatically on connection failure.

IF it doesn't provide the functionality that your are looking for, maybe you will need some Download Manager software to provide you with this functionality..
