updated to 3.6.10 today. after update, could not access internet. MS explorer works ok. checked firewall and found Firefox on allowed list. removed it and re-added to no avail. the error message sez "unable to connect". under options tab, page info provides the following; encoding: UTF-8, "connection not encrypted". the web site does not support encryption for the page you are viewing. information sent over the internet w/o encryption can be seen by other people while it is in transit. i tried other web sites, but get the same result.

Please see Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox. Do you use any other security software other than the MS Firewall? If so, try disabling it, and/or removing and re-adding Firefox from its trusted list.

Many thanks for the help. I found an old "uninstalled" version of Norton's Internet Security 2010 that some how was impacting the 3.6.10 upgrade. I totally removed Norton's from the Auto Run folder, rebooted and Firefox loaded properly.
