Hi. Finally got round to asking this question.

How can I be certain the Pop-up for my Primary Password is from Firefox and NOT a 'fake', pop-up (or some such) displayed by a malicious web-site?

You can always open Lockwise (about:logins) in a new tab to force a PP prompt if you are in doubt.

Note that using Sync is a possible reason to ask for the Primary Password on startup. This is because the credentials to login to the Sync account are stored in the Password Manager.
