print from firefox on ubuntu - print queue states: "stopped"

For some reason I have not been able to print from Firefox on Ubuntu.

It goes to the print queue but remains there - the Progress shows "Stopped"

I can print from word or any other program.

Firefox and Ubuntu are up to date.

I have tried resetting the printer settings and also reset the browser but no luck.

Printer is a canon tr850

This sounds related to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1695647

Does the printer show up in the http://localhost:631/printers/ and if so can you get in un-"Stopped" from there?

Or maybe the "Printers" section of the system settings has something that could help?

I have this problem also. Ubuntu 18.04 desktop Brother MFC-L2705DW works from other browsers and other prints.

It is showing as idle in http://localhost:631/printers.

When I click onto the printer it shows the last job state as "stopped Filter failed"
