How can I reduce Profile Cache disk churning? 6TB drives in Synology NAS constant syncing.

The two 6TB drives in my Synology NAS are syncing constantly, and the noise is driving me crazy. When I look to see what it is that is keeping them writing, it is almost always Firefox "profile cache2 entries"--even when I am not actively browsing. Is this really necessary? One example: AppData/Local/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/s5pokyxp.default-1557535245311/cache2/entries/etc. Any ideas? Thanks. -Thom McDonald

Hi thom909, The contents of /cache2/entries are a.k.a temporary internet files. Apparently, you are syncing Open Tabs.

You can try disabling that information from Sync to see if it helps:
