After v55 installed I cannot run SWF files in browser, the first time it asked if I wished to download the file again, since then I just get a blank tab.

Update occured last night, Immediatly I could not use any google owned website as they were showing an untrusted certificate without any option to add exception. Also could not run SWF files.

Have since re-installed firefox, flash player etc. Cleared user profile and done a full clear out of the usual net related detritus. I can now use Google owned sites again (google browser and Youtube) but I still cannot open .SWF files in browser

What security software do you have?

Just curious: How did you fix the untrusted certificate issue?

You shouldn't have to create an exception in case you did, but investigate the cause and check who issued the certificate.

Did you already update Flash as well to 26.0.0.151?

I'm using Bullguard Premium security and have disabled all aspects of Windows 10 own security.

As for fixing the certificate error on Google and Youtube, I uninstalled firefox cleared registry and internet files. Reset the machine and reinstalled firefox and reset my profile.

I completly removed flash and then installed the latest version

See this article about Bullguard:

Hi cor-el, that isn't actualy the problem, the certificate issue was fixed easily with a fresh install of firefox and clearing my profile. the issue is that firefox now will not open SWF files. Also swf files on a page take longer to load and break when switching tabs.

Flash is up to date and SWFs still open in internet explorer without issue
