What does that mean? Thunderbird does not start? You can not install it? Windows lost your profile in the upgrade (common) and there is no mail or accounts installed after update?

Your account is with a mail provider. be it your ISP or one of the others like Hotmail and Yahoo. Are you seeing error messages? what might they be?

T-bird loads and starts, but when asked for pass word to my Gmail account I enter it and it just keeps asking for the pass word. It never connects and just shows the last emails before up grading to WIN 10. I can get into my Gmail account on line and with other, I consider junkie, email handlers. T-bird is the greatest.

I do not get any error messages, just the same request for password.

I hope this helps and you didn't need a lot of printer info that I had to delete.

those settings look good for gmail, however there are others that are probably better.

Right click the account in the folder pane, select settings. Change the authentication method to oAuth2.0 That setting bypasses some other security junk on the gmail site and might work better.

Sorry to take so long getting back to you on this. During all this work I discovered my desktop wasn't getting updated automatically like my Win10 Laptop. So I figured something deeper was the problem. I had my computer reformatted with Windows 10 and have been enjoying reloading everything. Tbird now works GREAT! Thank you for your help..
