hi, this is to be expected currently, since certain versions of xp & vista won't work with new installers - microsoft is requiring a new & more secure code signing algorithm for digitally signed applications, which is not supported on some of those versions. so you will be served the 43.0.1 installer which can then be brought up to date via auto-updating.

How can I get the latest version of Firefox on Windows XP or Vista?
