Cannot regain feature where clicking mouse wheel opens new tab but does not make it current
This feature has been present in Firefox for over a decade and since most of the time that mice have had wheels. It disappeared on the PC I am guesting on (W8.1) since the last time I used it (10 weeks ish), rumours suggest since v38. Mouse wheel works as a wheel but not as a button. CTRL + Left Click does the desired job. Cannot use Wheel Click to delete Tabs.

I don't remember it as a feature, but;
MClickFocusTab {web link} While using mouse middle-click to open new tabs, with a short- time clicking to open new tabs in background, with a long-time clicking to open new tabs in foreground.
Would certainly be useful features if either option worked for me
