updating zte 1.1 to 1.2 using the NandDL.firefox tool

I have zte 1.1 update installed and I have the NandDL.firefox .exe tool and the 1.2.7z file. I extracted the file, applied it to the NandDL tool, and can see the handset on port (com10) but cannot get a start indication to flash. I have debugging and usb enabled. I have factory reset device. I have fastboot. I have checked all highlighted radial dials on NandDL tool. I also tried loading the 1.2.7z file with sd card. does not work. I have updated drivers, and android sdk fastboot installed with no luck. any suggestions please

Are you unable to wait for the update to be pushed out by the manufacturer along with the carrier (if applicable)?

my zte open is unlocked and the NandDL.firefox.exe and 1.2 updates are from zte update site. I got the link from mozilla.hacks web site. Not sure what you mean "pushed out" unless you mean ota and I'm not sure they intend to update the zte ota. The 1.2 update has some bug fixes and enhancements that I feel would allow better phone performance and the update search on my phone only returns an error message.

got the NandDL.firefox.exe tool to work . I use firefox wb and had both 7z update and NDL tool in download folder, extracted the 7z update with 7zip extraction tool, followed the NDLinstruction ,and after the driver loaded, even though the start never indicated I activated it and the upgrade went on. I was disapointed. the upgrade did NOT have MMS, I have att 3g, and the notification would NOT slide down. Went back to the 1.1 version. whoever said to delete the 1.1 off their sd card was WRONG, thats the only one that will have a signature for your handset, do not delete it!!
