the arrow to go back a page gives me a history instead of going back

i simply cannot go back a page without a history dropping down. when I click on the back arrow....

i read the posted fix to go into toolbar-customize and drag the arrow over but there arent any arrows

Holding your Back Arrow left click, and right click, will give you a list. The shortest(crispest) left click you can manage should take you back one page.

thanks....just tried what you suggested....i do go back a page but i also get the history that i have to get rid of

Sorry, that's a new one for me. You could upgrade to Fx 10 and try again.
