How do I get rid of tabs in Firefox 8? I just upgraded, and the check box to now use tabs is missing. If you don't now allow not using tabs, then what's the latest version of Firefox I can use and choose not to use tabs? Thanks I want to see a separate icon on the bottom line for every open firefox. I hate tabs. I hate IE. Please Firefox help me to not use microsoft, but please don't make me use tabs. Thank you.

The Options dialog should still let you choose between directing new windows to tabs or to new windows. Try here:

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Tabs

If you uncheck all the boxes on that tab, can you make Firefox work the way you want?
