Problems with Firefox 8
Hello!
I help people on https://support.mozilla.com/de/army-of-awesome and I really often get questions why Firefox 8 is so instable! I myself use Mac and I face no problem neither with Firefox 8 nor with Aurora 10! Except this one: I was not able to close Firefox completly before...
My question: How can they downgrade to 7? And why do the updates come every week, but not finished? Before we got an update about once a year, and that is much better! So from x.y.z the x should only update about once a year and should be complete!
x.y.z is the version like 10.7.2 (Mac OS X..., but it's the same with Firefox!)
I hope someone can help me to explain all these updates to the users!

I suggest you look through the contributors forum and ask questions there https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forums . Updates can now be expected every six weeks on ordinary firefox Releases (and very frequently on Aurora.)

It is not recommended to downgrade to Firefox 7, it will have misssd out on security fixes so the recommendation would be to downgrade to Firefox 3.6. which is still supported.
If a problem is with a single site I sometimes recommend to PC users using Firefox 3.6.24 portable on the problem site and firefox 7 for day to day browsing.

Roboform and Trusteer Rapport have been causing crashes in Firefox 8.
The fix is to either update to the latest version of Roboform, or disable Rapport until Trusteer fixes their application.
You really think that you're actually helping users, when you don't understand the new Fast Release schedule = 6 week intervals.

The update situation for Beta, Aurora, and Nightly channel pre-release tester versions is far different that for the Release channel. Updates happen when there is new code needing to be tested.
You are using Aurora 10.0a2 which is updated almost daily.
