I have posted this already. This is a follow up from the problem machine so as to provide details of the plug ins etc.

Previous post:
I have now installed xubuntu on an HP Paviion Laptop. The OS comes with Firefox installed. When I try to stream music from the internet via firefox there is no sound. I can play CDs and this laptop did play when I had XP installed. Typical station was King.org. NOw no sound.

I have installed Gecko as well as other players. No luck

On which site do you have that problem?

Do you see a player on those page?
E.g. if you right-click the space where it should appear or do you see the missing plugin bar at the top of the page?

There is no missing plug in notice on the site. King.org.

I have also gone to RAI.it to their radio station #3 and 5 and there they say that windows media is required or Real Time.

In my exaile program there is a shoutcast site and I can not get that to stream any stations either.
