Firefox will no long connect me to the internet.

Firefox will no longer connect me to the internet. I can connect to the internet using Internet Explorer, but not Firefox. Prior to this problem my McAffee security was giving a message that a Firefox program was trying to run but McAfee didn't recognize it. I chose to block it from running since I didn't know what it was. I have uninstalled Firefox and tried to reinstall Firefox from the download link at Mozilla.org. This did not fix the problem.

Unblock Firefox in the McAfee Firewall. You can find instructions for that from this page.
