Contact Search not working in TB 102 on macOS 12

I just installed TB 102. I have multiple cardDAV accounts set up in Thunderbird, they synchronised fine as far as I can tell. But when I type anything in the field "search all address books", nothing happens. Even if I press enter. The entire list of contacts remains displayed, I can scroll it, as if I never typed anything in the search field...

Any view what I could be doing wrong? I have only two add-ons: Dark Reader and Addon Compatibility Check.

I also noticed, the autocomplete when typing emails in the "to" field (for example) is not working, as if the address books were empty.

hobbes, In tools > developer tools > error console do you see entries about address book?
